Preservation and Clean Ups

SJPTA is dedicated to preserving San Jose’s rich transit heritage and keeping our community spaces clean and welcoming. Through our preservation projects, we restore and maintain historic transit vehicles, signage, and other artifacts that tell the story of local transportation. Our regular clean-up events invite volunteers to help beautify bus stops, rail stations, and surrounding areas, promoting pride and respect for our shared public spaces. Together, these efforts ensure that both the past and present of San Jose’s transit system are cared for and celebrated.

Board Meetings

SJPTA’s board meetings provide an open forum for members and the public to discuss ongoing projects, upcoming events, and the future of public transit in San Jose. These meetings encourage collaboration, transparency, and community input as we work toward improving and preserving our city’s transportation network. Everyone is welcome to attend, share ideas, and stay informed about the initiatives that keep San Jose moving forward.
